OPI Fly & Did It On 'Em

Hello ladies! How are you all doing? I have been so excited with the Germany trip that I have not much time for updating this blog. Exactly 3 weeks ago, my pet netherland dwarf, Chacko, of 4+ years passed on. I was late in discovering his death and when I had to take away his body, the smell of death was already in the air. After cleaning and scrubbing myself, the smell still lingered on. It was so bad that whenever I think about it, I want to throw up. I hope he's resting well now.

Chacko:

I didn't have any mood to choose a colour for my nails. In the end, I settled for OPI Fly and Did It On 'Em. Fly is a very nice blue medium colour although I feel it dries darker than the bottle. Did it On 'Em is a dirty yellow green and I match this colour with dark clothings so that it stands out. I know this is not a very exciting post but thank you for taking some time to read.

Cousin's Wedding

Aloha! I have a beautiful post for you ladies today! Yesterday was my cousin's wedding and I did a tape mani to match the colour of my dress! I am happy for her. We did not know of her boyfriend's exsistence until we received the wedding invitation! It was mostly because she had been studying aboard most of her life and we do not contact at all. It was a very fun and simple wedding.
Since I was going to wear a forest green dress, why not do a turquoise mani? But I wanted to add a little something extra so I matched it with a soft white. The base is Orly Au Champagne, a very nice soft pearly white. Using regular scotch tape which is cut into strips and then pasted over the dried base, I polish China Glaze Turned Up Turquoise over it. Let's have a look at the finished product!

Here is a short post on the make up I did for the wedding. I apologise if my picture is not sharp. I am always rushing when I make up so I usually take my pictures in the car. This is the best one I could find. I used MAC Lightful Foundation, Maybelline Hypersharp Liner, Canmake Eyebrow Liquid in 01, eyeshadows from Coastal Sands 88 palette, Maybelline Colossal in Glam Black and E.L.F. Mineral Lip Gloss in Trophy Wife.

Nail Venturous Floam + China Glaze Aquadelic

Hello ladies! How was your week? Athough my weekends were tough, I had a wonderful start this week. I am given another day of paid leave on the 22 June! Yess!!! It means that I have a long weekend off next week. YAYAY!!! And I am already so excited for July to come so I can go on a holiday with Jerry!

I know that lately, indies (AKA frankens) have been really popular. Indies/ frankens are polishes that are homemade. I have a few frankens but I don't think my standard is good enough for now. Anyhow, I have a very exciting manicure to show you today. It is the very famous Floam by Nail Venturous! I think this colour is very special because the glitter used is not your typical holo glitter nor it is a reflective glitter. Be warned, it is very difficult to remove this polish. However, it is worth the effort for such a pretty colour.

This base used here is China Glaze Aquadelic. It is a very nice blue green colour. It looks similar to China Glaze For Audrey but Aquadelic is brighter and livlier. Knowing that Floam is difficult to remove, I decided to polish the tips instead of the whole nail. I love Floam! Do you love Floam?

What A Buddha-ful Samoan Sand!

Hello everybody! How are you all doing? My week started really well with plenty of good news. First off, I am on leave on the 25th! Again.. This new company is always make me take UNPAID leave because I am on probation now. But the office is closed on the 25th so no pay cut. YAY!. Got a day off is better than none. Then, I got the news that I am finally able to go to Germany with my boyfriend, Jerry, for a holiday. At the same time, I am also going to be introduced to his family and friends, and to experience his life in Germany.

Well, that is a glimpse of my personal life. Initially, I wanted to do a happy colour but I was kind of in the mood for nudes. ON MY NAILS. Don't let your mind wander away.. The mister chose OPI Samoan Sand as it is the most accurate nude shade to my skin colour. It looked really plain, in fact, a little too dull for a simple manicure. Hence, I decided to polish Barielle Buddha-ful over Samoan Sand. It is so beautiful that I did not want to take it off. The flakies are just soooooooo pretty. Look at the pictures and you will understand why. It looks so much better IRL though.
